Level the playing field
I wanted to take advantage of the opportunities in technology to personalize the way students with disabilities can engage, express and have information represented to them. Technology focuses on students’ strengths, not weaknesses and shifts thinking from ‘disability’ to ‘ability’ by providing individualized means of students’ acquiring knowledge and information. Students who have disabilities will benefit from digital technology because it removes barriers to learning, but all other learners who have ever struggled with accessibility, comprehension or motivation to learn will benefit too.
